reconstructing my grandparents: in my grandparents' house there were chairs exactly like the one in the picture above. that's why, when I saw this abandoned chair on the street in a poor condition, I took it home and restored it. reminds me of rum flavored tea and gatherings around my grandmother knitting wool socks and telling us stories of world war two with the Russian invasion, refugee caravans, brothers dead on the battlefield or, to our delight, ghost tales she believes to be authentic even nowadays :)
